Philadelphia Union youngster Leon Flach is attracting interest from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen.

Flach is attracting interest from the German club, according to but concrete talks have not yet been held. The Bundesliga side reportedly reached out to his camp in the summer window as well, but now, with the January window on the horizon, they could circle back.

Flach lost his starting spot during the inaugural Leagues Cup for the Union, with his last nod from the first whistle being July 12. Over the course of the remainder of the season, he went as an unused substitute or saw limited minutes off the bench. However, his talent appears to have not gone unnoticed, with the German side still showing interest. Flach has yet to be capped by the USMNT, but made two appearaces for the U.S. U20 team in 2020-21.

The Union are in offseason mode, with MLS preseason set to begin in January 2024. Flach, meanwhile, has a chance to be called up to the upcoming USMNT January camp, with a friendly against Slovenia on the cards on the 20th. However, if a move across the ocean materializes, he'll move to his new club during the January transfer window.
