West Bromwich Albion are sitting pretty at the top of the Championship at the moment, but with 10 games of the season to go, that could still all change.

The Baggies are currently suffering a little bit of a dip after losing two games in a week, but luckily there is quite a simple switch Slaven Bilic can make to put things right.

Baggies’ dip

Albion have been dominant this season, but they’ve lost both of their last two games, being turned over by Wigan in the league and losing against Newcastle in the FA Cup.

It’s been a rarity to see the Midlands club lose this term, they’ve been defeated just five times in the league, but now they’re in the middle of a small dip at the worst possible time.

These little hiccups occur from time to time, but Bilic is in a lucky position in that his issues could be put down to one thing.

Sawyers’ return

West Brom have been without one of their most important midfielders for the past few weeks after Romaine Sawyers’ sending off against Bristol City saw him miss three games.

Fortunately, the midfielder is eligible to play against Swansea this weekend, and if Bilic has any sense he should be straight back into the starting XI.

Rekeem Harper failed to impress during his time as a starter, and Gareth Barry didn’t have the best of times against Newcastle picking up just a 5.84 rating on WhoScored.

Sawyers has previously been hailed as the best passer in the Championship, and he’d started every game but one before his suspension, so you can understand why the Baggies have dipped without him in the team.

Hopefully the return of the St Kitts and Nevis international spurs the Midlands club on to rediscover the form that saw them win five of their previous six games before the Wigan clash.

In other news, Charlie Austin should be concerned by one man’s performance.
